AWL Foundation
The AWL Foundation (AWLF) is the charitable arm of AWL. AWLF has a two-prong mission to help women in law develop and advance, and to help improve the lives of women and girls in the Kansas City community.
AWLF is led by AWL past presidents and board members who want to continue to be involved after their terms of service. They provide leadership and energy for charitable activities and relationship building.

SCHOLARSHIPS
One of the organization's primary activities is the AWL Foundation Scholarship Program, which helps women cover the cost of educational and professional opportunities. The Missouri Bar Solo and Small Firm Conference, The Missouri Bar Annual Family Law Conference, Moving Mountains for Children National Adoption Conference are just a few of the recently funded projects. | DENISE HENNING CONNECTIONSWe encourage women at all stages of their careers. We believe support for new attorneys is crucial to their retention and success; we believe experienced attorneys can be affirmed and fulfilled by giving back. Our mentorship program, Denise Henning Connections, pairs women with a knowledgeable mentor. All mentors and mentees must be AWL members. Learn more... | SIGNATURE EVENTSWe host two signature events per year, as part of our fundraising efforts. In the spring, we host the AWLF Women on the Move 5K and in the fall, the AWL/AWLF "I'm Not Serious About Golf" tournament.
