DENISE HENNING CONNECTIONS PROGRAM


We encourage women at all stages of their careers. We believe support for new attorneys is crucial to their retention and success; we believe experienced attorneys can be affirmed and fulfilled by giving back.

Denise Henning Connections, our mentorship program, pairs women with a knowledgeable mentor. The program lasts three years, and it combines individual monthly meetings with group gatherings of all mentor-mentee matches. Participants must be a licensed attorney with a minimum of two years experience, and be a current member of AWL. Over 100 women have participated in the program since inception - view a listing of mentors and mentees here.

Our Goals:

  • Develop meaningful relationships among women in the law;
  • Bridge the gap between women in leadership positions and new women attorneys;
  • Enhance and extend each woman’s professional network;
  • Foster the success of program members; and
  • Cultivate leaders for our community, bar associations and profession
