Immigration issues often overlap with family and employment matters, creating unique challenges and opportunities for clients. Virginia Davis draws on her experience in immigration law to help practitioners spot when specialized legal relief may be available — and when it’s time to connect clients with immigration counsel.
In this session, she will share special considerations for representing undocumented clients, with a focus on U Visas and T Visas for victims of domestic violence, labor violations, and employment discrimination. You’ll learn how to recognize key indicators during client engagement, understand the potential benefits and consequences of immigration relief, and better support clients through an integrated, informed approach. Whether you practice in family, criminal, or labor/employment law, you’ll leave with practical tools to strengthen your advocacy and expand your impact.
