This one-hour Lunch and Learn will begin with a brief crash course on employment discrimination elements and who qualifies as an employer. This CLE will then focus on the new protected class of sexual orientation or stereotyping as well as the developing areas of medical marijuana in the context of disability discrimination in the workplace. This CLE aims to give some clarity on what new legal expectations employees, supervisors, or managing partners may need to be aware of when navigating these topics. Finally, this course will give some guidance on how employee manuals should be updated in light of these developments in the law.
